Dalton School had a story on the front page of the San Gabriel Valley Examiner!


Lunch with the Principal

It was a Thanksgiving-themed Lunch with the Principal!


Students who had positive behavior and cashed in their PAW tickets enjoyed a Halloween Lunch with the Principal!


Project Lead the Way

Dalton third graders built gliders as part of a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) unit, and launched them "on a rescue mission to deliver supplies for victims of a hurricane."


Dalton second graders in Mrs. Huizar's class studied conductors and insulators as part of their Project Lead the Way unit.

Fifth Graders in Mr. Miranda's class enjoy the robotics unit!

Elks Lodge Donates Dictionaries

The Elks Lodge donated brand new dictionaries to every 3rd Grader at Dalton.  The students were so excited and appreciative!


Red Ribbon Week

Azusa Police Officer Kimes kicked off Red Ribbon Week with a message about the dangers of drugs at a morning assembly.


Dalton Student Giving Back to the Azusa Community

Dalton student Naomi Razo shared announcing responsibilities at the Azusa Golden Days Parade, and did a fantastic job!


Summer Improvements

Thanks to Measure K, Dalton is getting much needed infrastructure improvements this summer, including new roofing and HVAC units.

The Dalton Spring Festival was a great opportunity for our community to have fun together!  Thanks PTA!


Dalton Family Dinner and Magic Show

The dinner menu was a delicious spaghetti dinner, the show was an animal magician and the evening was enjoyed by all!  Thanks, PTA!


Kids Loved the Long Beach Aquarium Assembly!

Our students enjoyed the PTA-sponsored visit from the Long Beach Aquarium.


Students Honor Family Members who are Veterans

Dalton students expressed appreciation to fathers, mothers, grandparents, aunts and uncles who have served in the military.


Halloween Zany Zumba

Zany Zumba Night was a great success!  We all had a great time playing games, eating yummy food and dancing Zumba in our Halloween costumes!


Railroad Safety

The train is here, up and running!  While this is a very exciting development for our community, I want to remind families to obey all railroad rules and warnings to ensure safe travel for our students.  The train runs just south of the school, and I want all students to be very careful when walking or riding bikes near the tracks.

STEM in Kindergarten

Dalton Kindergarten students are engineers, who construct buildings that can withstand the force of wind generated by the Big Bad Wolf!


Dalton Principal's Father as Keynote

The Dalton Principal's father, Robert Holman, spoke at the Veteran's Day ceremony.  He is a Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War.  He also shared more information in classrooms, which included a quiz with prizes!

Two Dalton Future Astronauts Toured JPL

Osiris and Naomi Razo, two students who will likely represent the US in space in the future, toured NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena.


Vicky Pollock is Dalton's Classified Employee of the Year for 2016/2017

Her daughter joined us in the celebration at the AUSD District Board Meeting.


Community Partnerships Pay Off!

Dalton students are scientists and have fun in the process!  APU students, under the direction of Dr. Tallman, taught Dalton scholars about the circulatory system in a variety of ways, including walking through a giant replica heart "map," checking heart rates before and after exercise and dissecting a real sheep heart.
